LUV YA, BUM!

“Luv Ya, Bum!”, the new documentary about Southeast Texas’ own NFL Coach Bum Phillips, will be screened on one night only at the historic Jefferson Theatre. The film is narrated by Dennis Quad and features interviews with Earl Campbell, Terry Bradshaw, Dan Pastorini and many more. Mark Saturday, Feb 21 on your calendar!

Born in Orange, Phillips played for Lamar University and coached at both Nederland High School and PNG before going on to head coach for the Houston Oilers during the famed “Luv Ya Blue” Astrodome era of the 1970s, and then for the New Orleans Saints. Despite having been an elite special operations Marine, Phillips’ easygoing Texas charm and family focus engendered the love of players and fans alike.
